This water demon of United Kingdoms and Ireland can take various forms, but the most frecuently is that it appear in form of a horse with reeds mane. The biggest kelpie in the world live in the Lake Ness, Scotland. Its favourite form is the sea snake (see later). Researches of the International Confederation of Magicians that they were not really dealing with a sea snake when they saw that it turn into an otter in the proximity of a group of Muggle scientists and after the danger it was transformed in the same snake of the begining.

MURTLAP Clasificación del Ministerio de Magia: XXX El murtlap es una criatura con apariencia de rata que se encuentra en zonas costeras de Reino Unido. Tiene una excrecencia sobre el lomo que se asemeja a una anémona de mar. Esas protuberancias son encurtidas para su consumo, pues confieren resistencia ante las maldiciones y el mal de ojo, aunque el consumo excesivo provoca la aparición de un vello púrpura en las orejas bastante antiestético.
